This southeast GA Medical Center has opened a search for another great OB/GYN to join the current group. The selected candidate for this immediate need will be an employee of the Hospital System where we have gone from 350 employees to over 1,100 in the last 14 years. We will offer a starting salary in the $275,000 range with incentives. There is also a very generous signing bonus. Both salary and signing bonus will be in line with our desire to bring only the best to Vidalia. Also, our benefit package is second to none. We have recruited over 60 excellent physicians to Vidalia over the last 12 or so years and we have gone from a system with one part-time specialist to a true regional medical center. Call will be 1:6 and we are on track to deliver 850 babies in our current fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). As an aside, we have a pediatric hospitalist program and have had very general conversations about a laborist program.
We will not accept candidates in training in GA, SC, FL, AL or TN as we have good relationships with these training programs. We are an equal opportunity employer but we have a very strong preference for a female OB/GYN as that is what the patients in our service area are requesting and supporting.
