This aggressive medical center in Southeast Georgia has opened a search for a Pediatric Hospitalist. The selected candidate will be an employee in the 1,100 employee hospital system. The starting annual salary is $190,000 and there will be a $100,000 signing bonus. The selected candidate will enjoy the full range of benefits all of our current employed physicians enjoy (health, life, dental, malpractice, great retirement and vacation). Full relocation.
We are looking for a BC/BE pediatrician whose scope of work will include primarily inpatient work, attendance at high risk deliveries, management of nursery patients, inpatient care for an established four physician pediatric practice (with hopes of attracting regional referrals as the program grows) and emergency department consultations. The current schedule is 7 on and 7 off. On the 7 days on, the physician also sees about nine (9) patients per day because the call schedule is so light. During the 7 on, responsibilities include all hospital coverage, ER and phone calls.
The selected candidate will be an A
physician with great training, someone who is highly motivated, and has communication skills. Exemplary skills in pediatric diagnosis and treatment are a must.
There are probably very few rural hospitals/systems like ours in the country. We have gone from 350 employees to 1,100 in the last several years. We have a substantial number of specialists who are supported by the regional primary care base.
