Description Successful candidate should possess a thorough knowledge of equipment, specifications, procedures, tools, materials, and techniques used in the installation and maintenance of Electrical, Instrument and DCS equipment. This position regularly exercises independent judgment in installing, repairing, calibrating, adjusting, and checking equipment. The candidate must be capable of diagnosing causes and sources of electrical and instrumentation failures and initiating corrective action. This includes working with technical, operating and mechanical personnel, and others to meet the common objective of safely producing quality products at a minimum cost. Work must be performed safely with a high level of skill, proficiency, and thoroughness. Assignments are varied in scope and require the ability to use many different types of tools and equipment, as well as knowledge of the capabilities of each. This knowledge and its application through use of a variety of abilities constitutes the multi-skilled performance required of all E&I Mechanics. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: ? Maintaining 480 VAC motor starters and motors. ? Troubleshooting control circuits (24 VDC, and 120 VAC). ? Maintaining troubleshooting and configuring PLC and DCS systems. ? Performing instrument calibrations. ? Repairing instrumentation, control valves, and maintaining analyzers ? Configuring process control software and process graphics ? Check out field devices related to the DCS, Burner Management Systems, and various other devices to assure field devices are interfaced, tested and functioning correctly. ? Lead and/or assist in diagnosing and correcting control system malfunctions. ? Participate as needed in functional check-outs of new equipment. ? Read and understand prints such as: P&ID?s (Process & Instrumentation Drawings), Loop sheets, electrical connection drawings, single line drawings, logic drawings, and ladder logic. Performs work using the following knowledge, systems, and tools: ? Instrument Fundamentals ? Level Measurement Devices ? Temperature Measurement Devices ? Pressure Measurement Devices ? PH/Conductive Meters and Sensors ? Service Lighting Systems ? Various Transducers Other general E&I maintenance work as needed ? Audit work for completeness and quality. ? Maintain and enter information in SAP ? Manage and complete Maintenance Work Orders ? Communicate closely with Production Supervisor, and Maintenance Coordinator ? Work closely with Technical Engineers and Area Supervisor on Tasks and Projects ? Participate in Mechanical Reliability Team & Improvement Efforts ? Communicate status of equipment repairs / equipment issues to team (daily) ? Manage completion of Pre-Startup reviews maintenance punch list items Proficiency in the use of the following computer applications ? LOTUS Notes/LOTUS CAR system ? Microsoft Word/Excel ? SAP Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Desired qualifications: ? Associates Degree, Journeyman?s License or successfully completed vocational-tech program directly related to Instrumentation/Electrical Maintenance and Installation and adequate relevant field experience. ? 3 to 5 years? experience in the field of Electrical Maintenance and/or Industrial Instrumentation.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
